My Super Power

Some people call me a fish. Some people are scared of me because of my special ability. Which is to breath underwater. When my family and I go on camping trips we always go somewhere where there's water.
One summer morning my father and mother came up to me and said "Guess what Morgan!?"
I gave them my best wht is it look. "We are going camping!" I was hoping they would say that they are going away on a trip to Spain and leaving me home alone. I didn't feel like going camping for the 6th time this summer!
"Again... Why? Can't you guys go to spain and leave me home alone?" I empasized the word 'alone'.
They shook their heads and said "Morgan, we are going camping. We are your parents and you have to come with us."
"Is there a lake or some body of water?" I asked. They nodded their heads.

I went up to my room and packed. Then we hit the road and started for the camp site.

We arrived at the camp site around 12:30pm. We set up and ofcourse i was incharge of setting up the tent. Which is the hardest part of the whole trip.

My mother packed a lunch in a basket and we headed for the beach. I walked to the edge of the water and took a deep breath. My parent were watching me. I turned around and waved goodbye. I walked far into the water and dove into it with a splash.

My second eye lids closed over my eyes so they would protect them from any bacteria. I saw where the weeds started at the bouies that marked how far the campers can swim to. I swam into the weeds and forced my body to sink to the bottem. A fish swam over me and watched me ly there at the bottem of Lake Landcakes. Suddenly I heard a whistle from land and a bunch of splashing. I swam out of the weeds and looked up over the water horizon to see what was going on. Lifeguards were coming into the water in every which dirrection! Someone must be missing?
So i desided to scan the bottem of the lake to see if anyone had drowned...
I swam for a matter of minutes until i saw a small body or figure sinking slowly to the bottem. I swam as fast as i could go. I looked around hoping no one was around. I looked at her. She looked young.

I studied her. Her eyes opened slowly and small bubbles were coming out of her mouth. I grabbed her arm and pulled her to the surface. She was starting to turn blue. I swam to shore and a lifeguard pulled me away from her and started CPR. I heard a coughing sound.
The lifeguard said "Young lady, you just saved her life. You are a hero."
